Kexin Rong is the Catherine M. and James E. Allchin Early-Career Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and an affiliated researcher at VMware Research by Broadcom. Her research focuses on developing systems and tools to help simplify large-scale data analytics, empowering non-experts to effectively utilize their large and complex datasets. Her approach integrates techniques from data management, machine learning, and human-computer interaction. She has received an Amazon Research Award, distinguished reviewer awards at SIGMOD and PVLDB, and an honorable mention for the SIGMOD Jim Gray Doctoral Dissertation Award. She was also recognized as an EECS Rising Star by UC Berkeley and received a best-of-conference citation at SIGMOD. She received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University in 2021, and a B.S. in Computer Science from California Institute of Technology.
